Drendil and Dax had made fantastic time and drawing upon the energy within his armor the pair did not need to rest. Still it had taken them two days to reach the Necro City. Drendil stood just outside the cave that marked the entrance to his city. Even form here he could see the writhing masses of Demons just south of him. The ground simmered from the heat, giving the horde a wavering appearance. The moment the Eternal had arrived he been gone directly to the most powerful of his Necromancers and Warlocks and demanded an explanation. They had been pitifully useless. Drendil could only assume that the void would be launching an invasion onto Ira, and his city would be the first stop it seemed. Deep beneath him the city stirred, he had imposed martial law and halted all activity and set it towards building and improving his forces. With the Demons serving a new master those his own people relied upon would not be with him, leaving him very undermanned. This loss of demons took away his brute forces leaving him with mindless zombies which were at best a distraction against these types of numbers and his casters. Every able man and women within the city was even now scrambling about reading up on spells. Those without the magical talent, the few that lived within his city had been given arms and set to work on building up the defenses within the city. While there was but one way into the city for the Demons, the people of the Necro City had nowhere to go. To the Eternal's annoyance Incogneto had not yet answered his summons, and time was growing short. As the sun began to set behind the Demons Drendil turned around and went back into his city.

Incognito was meditating at his hut with Cog at his side when he heard his master calling for him. He woke from his rather fun meditation, and got dressed for war. As he strapped his sword to his waist he turned to Cog and grinned.
"Feels like we're going have a huge battle on our hands, my little friend," Incognito told his pet. Cog grinned mischievously at the thought of another battle. "Wait here while I see what our master wants."
With that Incognito set off for his master's keep. He passed through the doors and knelt to his master. "What is your wish, master"

Drendil looked down upon his servant. "I am displeased," he said his tone even revealing no hint of his emotions. "You were put in charge of my city no? I left you to guide these people while I was away, why is it I hear not from you but my necromancers and warlocks that thousands of Demons are standing at my doorstep!" he yelled at the kneeling demon, his voice starting out even had eventually exploded.
The Eternal stood there, dressed in his full plate armor, his blade sitting by his throne, Dax wrapped lazily around it, eyes trained upon the object of his masters displeasure. Hands covered in green flame he roared in furry and smashed a full bolt of fire at his subject.

Incognito flinched as his master yelled at him and getting singed by the flames. "But master, these demons came out of no where. Even if i did defend the city, we would've been overrun, thus making you angrier than you are now."

Drendil lunged forward grabbing the demon by his cloak and hoisted him up into the air.
"Worm, defend does not always mean fight, you could have set into motion defenses, and as I know you were sitting in your damned hut. You are lucky I need you alive and able to fight." Lowering his voice he threw the Demon back to the floor. By the door stood his guards motionless and silent to the events that were unfolding before them.
Drendil turned back to his thrown and sat calmly. "We have no way of knowing when they shall launch their offensive. I want an around the clock watch so the moment they move I can know. No matter how tiny or useless the movement seems I want to know. When they attack I assume they shall come at us as a mob, and we do not have the numbers to force a direct fight, so I shall lead a small force of a couple hundred casters and whatever swordsman we have inside the city. When they hit us I shall hold up at the mouth of the cave as best as we can, the inside of the city shall be lined with archers at any high spot they can reach. Give them as many arrows as you can find. The rest of the fight will be fought in stages. We shall lead them into the edge of the city and bottle neck them were their numbers shall prove useless. Then we shall move down the street accordingly until we get to the keep. It is here we shall make our last stand." Pausing he looked at his subject, "Any questions boy?"

"No master, no questions." Incognito was quite shocked by how his master man-handled him. He bowed to his master and left the keep. "That was quite awkward," he thought to himself. He went back to his hut where he found Cog feasting upon a poor villager that happened to be passing by. "I don't think it is wise to eat the villagers at this point, Cog. We must preserve what forces we have to win this war."
Cog reluctantly cast aside his meal and nodded. "Cog we must prepare for battle. Now!" Incognito yelled. Incognito will release his irritation that he was humiliated by his master by giving him the greatest victory anyone on this world will ever achieve.

Drendil sat upon Dax at the mouth of the cave that leads to the city hidden below. It had been suggested to him that they simply hide it out, but he had dismissed the suggestion. The Demon's knew of the city, and they would come. It was early morning when he warning had come. Rising from his bed he had quickly dressed and sent commands for all to be ready and report to their positions. Now, sitting there dressed in his full plate armor, sword slung to the side of Dax's saddle he watched, his dark visage looming over his small force of warriors and magic users, his presence dark and omnipotent among those around him. But deep down he knew all of this would mean nothing. These feeling were carefully concealed from his subordinates, but they lingered still. These numbers were incredible. If not for that fact that they stood before his very eyes the Eternal would have scoffed at the possibility of such numbers. But now a massive host of monster bore down upon his realm. Not even back in his own realm with forces far superior to the ones he currently commanded could he have won. What was he to do now? How could he hope to prevail against such numbers? Dax felt his master’s worries, and snorted in irritation for he could not help but feel the same way. “Maybe the other powers in the world shall come to aid us?” the Dragon suggested. Drendil shook his head; if he were the enemy commander he would have attacked everywhere at once so to prevent such unison.
The Eternal and his force watched as the demon horde spewed in every direction, heading not just for him but around his city as well, toward the rest of Ira.
“Little mercies,” he thought to himself. At least he would not have to fight them all.
Dax dug into the ground, his razor sharp claws shredding the ground beneath his feet. “Ready yourselves!” yelled the Eternal, drawing his massive sword as the horde drew ever closer.
As the horde smashed into his forces with a great crash Dax leapt into the air, shredding demons with his claws and barbed tail as he soared upward, his great wings pushing him higher. Drendil looked down below at the mass of writhing bodies; he hoped his second in command would pull his weight in commanding his troops.
With a mighty roar the black Dragon dove down at the masses closest to the front lines. Fire bubbled between the dragon’s jaws and erupted out raining down upon the masses below as they plummeted downwards.
Drawing upon the magic within the jewel that hung around his neck he began coated his hand in green flame and ignited the magic that lay dormant deep inside.
Dax roared in ecstasy as the magic poured into him. The young black dragon began to grow in size, reaching massive proportions.
Crashing down with terrifying force the now fully grown dragon tore into the demon ranks. Tooth, claw and tail shredded the surrounding demons.
Inhaling deeply crimson fire erupted forth in a great torrent that engulfed the demons in its path, incinerating them to ash. Leaping from Dax’s back Drendil hit the ground hard, adding his own wicked blade to the fray, tearing and shredding demons apart.
The pair fought brilliantly inducing complete and utter fear into the lesser demons, sending them scurrying away, and those who tried to stand before them were crushed by claw blade or magic.
Back in the cave Drendil’s men took courage from their leader and pushed back the demons which had cut in deep.
Magic and blade alike slew demon after demon and soon those that had pushed the force back deep into the cave were expunged.
But no matter how many the forces of the Necro City slew, more came to replace them.

Incognito heard the sounds of battle in his hut as he was sharpening his sword and dagger. Cog was next to him sharpening his teeth and claws. "They're here! Ready yourself Cog!" Incognito strapped on his best armor, threw away his sheath for it was going to be in his way while he fought, burst out of his hut and, with Cog beside him, charged through the hordes of demons. As he ran he slashed and stabbed with both his sword and dagger. For now he was harboring the souls of the demons into his dagger so he can unleash them to do his bidding. His sword was infused with shadow; whenever he slashed with the sword dark energies would shoot at nearby enemies.
Left and right blood and gore was spurting in Incognito's face as he slashed, hacked, and stabbed. Cog was slashing with his huge claws and biting every demons' neck. Blood was covered all over Cog. The screams of dying demons filled Incognito's ears. Incognito made his way to where his master was as he was hacking down the cursed demons.

The Demons pushed hard against the people of the Necro City. They fought without regard for their lives or the lives of their comrades. The had cut of the plate adorned leader and his Dragon companion and while the pair were still reeking havoc they would eventually tire and fall. Much of the Demonic Army had moved to the coast line were they were beginning to build crude rafts to sail across the sea to the Central continent. At the cave entrance they had forced the cities protectors back step by step and had gained a foot hold within the cave itself. Standing a way back from the Dragon and Knight pair a massive demon stood on hoofed legs. Wearing a thick armor chest plate made from the strongest of the Void's greatest ore it watched on, pleased with it's forces progress. The Demon was almost 9 feet tall with muscle bound arms with a razor sharp claw on each finger. It had big wings but could not fly long distances. Strapped across it's back was a massive broad sword that glowed an erie green that was the tell tale sign of dark magic. Tied to it's belt was a red hot whip with would burn the flesh off of any beings skin. The whip ended with six hooks which would dig in deep and rend flesh. It's face had two long horns that curled down a bit and then jutted out. It's teeth were long and wicked sharp and numbered in the hundreds. It's dark black eyes surveyed the surroundings and the battle raging before it. The Demon Lord himself had put him in charge of this faction of the army and had ordered him to take the southern continent and push up. This hidden city had put up a stout defense but it would not be enough.

Incognito and Cog fought hard and fast, slaughtering demons left and right. They were both splattered with blood and guts. Incognito with his sword and dagger, slashed at every demon that came near him. Cog clawed and bit any demon around his vicinity. As Incognito fought, he sensed the greater demon that controlled these damn demons. At the feeling of the demon's power, Incognito fought harder and harder, slaughtering every demon that dared to come near. He continued to make his way toward his master, whom he also sensed was still in action. As he made his way toward his master, he tried to avoid the greater demon at all costs. He was far too weak to take him on his own. He needed his master by his side to kill the accursed greater demon.

Drendil let out a battle cry he ducked under a monsters swing, it's razor sharp claws shredding through the air. Shooting up he shoved his blade up through the Demons mouth and through it's head. The monster shuddered as the life was drained from it's body. Yanking his blade free he kicked the still standing corpse away. Breathing hard he spun about, his cloak swirling out behind him, his blade cutting easily through one gargoyle like demon's head. Suddenly he was knocked to his knees. In an instant a horde of Demons crashed down onto him, tearing and shredding his armor and flesh. Letting out a terrifying roar the Eternal struggled to regain his footing, but even with all of his might it was not enough. The demons bore down on him, wrenching his blade from his hand and pinning him to the blood covered ground. Fresh gore and blood splattered all over the front of his helmet and onto his face as he was shoved down. Then wall all hope seemed lost a deafening roar filled the air. Dax, no longer in his fully grown state smashed down next to the fallen Eternal. Claws and teeth tore into the piled up demons, pulling them from his master. With one swing of his barbed tail the last of the attacking demons was scattered, giving Dax and his master a much needed reprieve the demons immediately around him falling back. Slowly and groggily the Eternal pulled himself up. "Thank you," he whispered telepathically to his serpentine friend. The Dragon grinned, revealing row after row of blood covered jagged teeth. The Eternal looked around, taking a moment to recover, he watched frustrated as his forces were pushed back. The glint of his blade caught his eye as it lay int he bloody mud. Lunging forward, warded by his green flames. Breaking through the enemy lines he grabbed up his blade and charged once more into the fray, swinging through the masses, Dax just a step behind him.

There was a loud noise, a wail of glee from a young man. It appeared his days of travel had finally brought him to people.
Fen's laughter must have bothered the demons. They cringed, some even felt like they were being pushed around, but one of them, a large beast of a demon slapped his ship.
"Galavarana!" yelled Fen as the ship he had named at that moments splintered to peices around him, "you're mean!" yelled the grey eyed youth.
But the demons didn't seem to care. In fact all that seemed to be on there minds was to kill everything that wasn't demon or Canni. Whatever Canni was.
Fen knew he was niether, and he had just recently gotten free. An ingenious idea, why he hadn't done it before he wasn't sure. Something about those Tranky Liars. The point was, he liked this being free thing. So he decided not to die. In fact they should die! They destroyed his ship, whose name he had already forgotten.
He lifted his blades and began to cut demons in half, spinning, slicing, jumping and killing. A smaller demon came by, and he kicked it high in the sky before sending a psychic wave to bring it back down, slamming it into other demons, sending more sprawling from the wave itself.
Another came flying straight at him, but Fen met it head on. Literally head on as his skull bashed into the demons. It was at this point that Fen realized he was made of tougher stuff than others. He sent his friends, the twin blades flying through the air, cutting demons in half while the ones who got up closed face his superior strength and solid bones. Fen understood what the demons didn't... Being hit by his fist was like being hit by a high speed lump of metal.
But one demon got passed and spit acid at the boy. It kinda hurt, and his skin was burning. It healed quickly enough, but during that moment the chains of his blades tensed and he spun to punch the attacker. And the blades moved with him.
A moment later, Fen was a large spinning set of blades, laughing as blood squirted everywhere.
Until he stumbled, and tripped. A psychic blast saved him from dying, but he felt dizzy and a little sick. Then he threw up. But it beat dry heaving.
As the shaggy hair boy straighted up, his chains jangling a little he dusted off his clothes. He didn't realize he was wearing them before.
A white jacket with straps on the front and buckles. It looked pretty cool, he also had on black pants, with more straps and buckles! They were shiny, and Fen imagined himself looking rather nice with his shiny buckles and fancy straps. But he couldn't be sure, so he approached the nearest person he could.
A man hacking up demons with a dragon behind him.
"Excuse me," asked the boy, "nice dragon, and your armor looks kinda cool. Do I look spiffy?"
A demon ran towards him from the side. Interrupting his conversation. Rude. And annoying. He should kill it.
His psychic powers threw the creature in the air and his sharp friend flew after it. The creature died with a groan on his blade.
"Anyways, mister. Spiffy? Yes? No? Maybe? My head itches. I should cut my hair. OOOOOH Soft and fuzzy like a puppy. But I won't pee on people and get my head bashed in by Fen. Partially cuz Fen is me and Fen has a hard head. Third person... weird. Anyways... Do I look Spiffy?"

Drendil stood for a moment, frozen in his tracks. "What on earth?" he wondered to himself. In this one moment, when his guard was lowered a big Lion like Demon tackled into him, throwing him to the ground. With a great roar, the Eternal was back on his feet, hurling the now disemboweled Lion demon into the crowd in front of him. "What do you think you are doing boy!?!" the Eternal yelled at him above the sounds of the still furious battle. Next to him Dax growled menacingly at the strange little creature, flames escaping his mouth. Suddenly a group of large Human shaped bulky demons broke through the lines, charging straight toward the Eternal and his Dragon. With a mighty battle cry he threw himself forward, his blade changing from a great sword, to two short swords in a flash as he quickly cut them down, his blade easily slicing through the Demon flesh. Silently the Eternal called out to his second in command, summoning him to his side immediately.

With a scream of rage, Incognito unleashed all the souls he had gathered from his dagger. Incognito with the souls of the damned worked together to destroy most of the demons that were around him and Cog. After a few seconds the souls left this world, leaving behind an area of blood and gore.
Incognito was finishing a demon when he heard his master call to him. He left immediately to his master's side, Cog right behind. After a few minutes he reached the cave that his master was in.

The big man with the snazzy armor had ignored Fen's question to ask his own, that was a little rude but to be fair, he seemed a little distracted by all the nasty critters running around. A shadowy looking guy then ran into the cave as well, it looked like he was the big guy's friend. Fen's mind wandered, something about him looked a little sneaky, he would call him Incognito. He seemed to think highly of the large man with the armor. He must be important, something about what the shadow guy's thoughts made Fen think about something like "dread" and "rend" but it needed an ending part for a good name. The shadow man worried about the armor man's thoughts and it made him feel almost "ill".
He would call the big man Dreaded Rending Ilness. Or "Drendil" for short.
"Well," said Fen to answer Drendil's question, "I was being free and stuff, then I noticed I had clothes so I wanted to know if you thought I looked spiffy, but a demon attacked me so I killed it," the fuzzy boy turned to the shadowy man and asked, "Incognito, do you think I look spiffy? Drendil doesn't seem like he'll answer me cuz of all the demons."
Of course in the time it took the young man to phrase all these words, more demons came. "Go die you stupid demons! You're too stupid to even answer me and you're probably too mean to compliment me anyways! You lives aren't worth living and you smell bad!" yelled the reasonably frustrated child as a psychic blast through the demons away and his blades began to jump around and cut the demons up. Fen wanted none alive, so they would all die. He turned back to the pair of people he had just met and let his friends kill the demons so they could all converse, laugh and be the best of friends... or so he could strangle them. That could be funny. But not yet, they might be fun. He should strangle something though, so he pulled a demon in with his psychic powers and began to choke it and crunch its neck, smiling slightly as it died slowly, its eyes all funny and buggy looking. He hoped he wouldn't get too much blood on his new clothes, which he personally thought were pretty spiffy. Silently, aside from the demons gurgling, he looked at the pair and waited for them to do something.
