Drendil looked around as his forces were pushed back more and more by the Demonic horde. Even though a majority of the Demon force had moved inland the Eternal and his forces where still outnumbered 20-1. It was time to pull back into the city. The Eternal turned to the odd little man before him for a moment, pondering this strange twist of fate. "Let me bite his head off master," snarled Dax. "No," said the Eternal immediately, "We shall see how this plays out." Turning back to the odd boy he said, "Well child," his voice emanating cold and death like from within his bloodied helm. "It seems these monsters are getting the better of my forces, we shall be pulling back into my city, would you like to come?" he asked. Telepathically he communicated with his Demonic right hand man. "Order the retreat, and what do you think of this child?"

Incognito, with Cog at his side, both bloodied and tired, looked at the newcomer with a disgust look on his face. He had some skill, he had to admit that, but the boy was too hyper and annoying. He heard his master to call a retreat. With another moody look at the strange boy, he yelled at the troops to retreat back to the city.
"To answer your question master, I'd rather gut the kid in the back than let him join us," he told his master, in a cold voice. "I won't welcome him any time soon."

Fen didn't understand why the skinny man Incognito was being such a meany. But at least he didn't try to hide it like that stupid scientist.
However the demons weren't very fun to play with, and Fen had run out of entertaining ways to kill them... For now.
"Let's go!" yelled the enthusiastic child, eager to see the world and all its wonders... and then destroy them. Hurray!
The boy launched himself psychically through the air, his blades at his side as he cleaved, and sliced demons. Then he saw it. A large, flying wraith of a demon. As his feet met the ground he sprang up with a gleeful scream and wrapped his chains around the demon's neck. "Do you think I look spiffy?" he asked the demon. The demon gurgled and choked a bit and began to thrash about.
Of course this lesser demon couldn't speak human, but Fen could tell that the demon was really saying yes. Or at least he was willing to give the demon the benefit of the doubt.
"Yay! You can be my buddy until you die!" laughed the boy in all his naive insanity.
As they flew, he realized he had no idea where Drendil's city was, so he yanked the chains like reigns and flew back over toward Drendil, the demon still thrashing and spinning around. Fen realized that the demon was probably just as eager to go as he was (or perhaps was having trouble breathing). But Fen at least controlled himself. The pet needed discipline, so Fen punched its skull and the demon roared (or gurgled) more.
"Drendil! Where are we going!?" yelled the boy from atop his steed.

The Eternal watched the child like creature, mildly irritated by his seemingly random movements. As the boy rode up on the pathetic little demon Dax let out a might bellow, all of his many teeth bared, flames gurgling in the back of his throat, his serpentine eyes glowing angrly at the child and Demon. "My city is within the cave, follow me," he said has he made his way into the cave, Dax wiggling his way in through the tight corridor. Drendil watched his companion move into the city and waited until the last of his forces trickled through the small opening. The Demons charged into the cave opening at the Eternal. With a snarl he raised his hand, sheathed in green flames and sent them rocketing into the Demonic horde, scattering them for a moment, then he moved down into the city quickly. Already his Warlocks and Necromancers had erected a small shield to repel the Demons for a while, giving the Necro city defenders a small but much needed reprieve. All of his forces where now in position. Archers lined the the city walls, hiding in every knock and cranny, enchanted arrow tips ready for when the horde smashed through the shield. Drendil walked calmly through his now worried forces. They had little in the way of close quarters combat left. All that remained were the magic wielding forces and a few mercenaries. "It will not be enough," he mused to himself. At the far end of the city was Dax, his long body wrapped comfortably around a large spike of his citidol, his firey eyes scanning the city. The Dragons presence eased some of the fear from his people, with a might beast at their backs, they could not possibly fall. Turning his thoughts to Incogneto he said, "I do not expect you to like him, but I dot expect you to follow my rule." Now it simply came down to a matter of waiting. The Eternal sat down on one of the many steps that led to his palace, is personal guard rested at the bottom of the steps, warding off any who were not allowed in their masters presence.

Incognito sharpened his blades as his master waited for the next demonic wave to hit. He kept looking at the strange boy with a cold look on his face. "How could a annoying wretch like this ever exist?" he whispered to Cog. Cog could sense his master's hostility towards the boy, so he also wasn't friendly with the boy. "One of these days, Cog, I'll let you destroy the disgusting creature," he told Cog, who grinned evilly.

Fen's steed died shortly before reaching the barrier. He must have been pulling his makeshift reigns to hard. Regardless Fen carried on via foot like his new friends. Or enemies, it didn't matter, at the moment he considered them on his side. Fen wasn't an idiot, he knew it would be better not to have more enemies with a bunch of those rude demons running around. All of them yelling the same thing, kill, maim, eat, blah blah blah. At least Incognito, for all his grumpiness could think of specifics like, "feed to the demon dog," or "slit his throat."
Drendil's mind was clouded, but he figured it was something like "let the dragon do it" because the man didn't seem to care much for doing work he didn't have to. It wasn't so much laziness as efficiency. But Fen wasn't afraid, it would take more than a dog or a dragon to take him out. Fen was tough.
He looked at the demon dog, if he didn't seem to be so important to Incognito, he probably would have punted it for the way it was glaring. He'd killed for less.
Hadn't he?
"Hey Drendil..." said Fen, preparing for what might be the most intelligent thing he said his escape, "What do you plan to do when the barriers give out? There's a lot of demons, so its only a matter of time. Do you have a back up plan? Where are they coming from? What if we went through those glowy portal thingies? Is there a way to cut the source off? How did they get here? I thought Ira had only one portal for demons."
Where this knowledge of Ira came from Fen wasn't sure. Then he realized, "Oh I get it now! I'm in Ira! Eye-ra! The eye of the storm! No wonder I'm here! What better way to end the universe?"
Slowly but surely, the bad wolf was returning, ready to bring out chaos.
He took a deep breathe and smelled the dank tunnel, "I swear it wasn't me!" yelled the boy, "Cog did it! All those demons and stuff!"
Or perhaps the end of the universe would have to wait after all....

The Eternal watched the boy move about and babble like a mad man. Throughout his little rant had been pearls of wisdom, but anything that was even remotely intelligent was overwhelming smothered by his insane babbling. "If you feel like going through one of those portals be my guest, but I shall not waste any of my men to help you." He paused for a moment, looking out, listening to the quiet thud of the Demons hurling themselves against the barrier. "It leads to the Void, not a place I wish to go, and if I was to leave, who would protect my city. There is a great war going on in the central continent. My people have told me that even Zephius, the Lord of Angels, and Sirigoth the Lord of Demon's are fighting there. I do not know how they got here, but that is none of my concern. And to answer your final question, yes I do have a plan for what happens when they break in," his voice picking up so all within his city could hear him, his voice deep and powerful, "When they come, we shall destroy them each and everyone of them!" he yelled. Dax grinned wickedly, letting out a mighty roar which was accompanied by the cheering of the remaining citizens of Necro City. Settling back down Drendil lay there lazily, his sword and helm laying to one side of him, his weapon and dark armor gleaming in the fire light that lit the underground city. At the base of the steps stood his guard, still remaining vigilant, many eying the boy before them warily. "Come to me my friend," he whispered through his mind to Incognito. Dax, who had been relatively silent since the start of the fight, finally echoed his own views through Drendil's mind. "What shall we do about the boy?" he asked. Drendil eyed the boy, communing through his link to the Dragon he responded, "We shall see how things go. You and I are one person, if he comes at one, he comes at both, do not worry my pet," he finished.

Incognito heard his master calling to him, hoping to see some action. He was bored just waiting. He sheathed his blades and, with Cog at his heel, trudged his way toward his master. He knew his master wouldn't like Cog at his presence, but he needed to be ready in case some demons ambushed him out of no where. With another cold glare at the new boy, he approached his master and kneeled.
"What is your command master?"

"I want you teach you something." Ordinarily the Eternal would leave his subordinates to their own devices, and would let them live or die on their own skill and merit. But this time, the Eternal decided it was a matter of importance.
Reaching into the Demon's mind he voiced his thoughts. "It is time you knew how to shield your mind from prying eyes. I cannot teach you to move objects, or attack other peoples minds, but I can teach you how to defend your own. First you must imagine your mind. Once you have that picture, you must imagine a sort of defense or wall around your mind, to protect it at all times. Like a wall around a fort. This will keep your thoughts protected, and more importantly, my battle plans a secret." The Eternal paused for a moment, letting his lesson sink in. "Keep practicing this, find a magic user, for most know how to invade minds, to keep yourself occupied, and for practice."
(OOC Sorry to double post, but Incognito upgraded a skill and I forgot to tell him he needed to write it in, so I did it for him. Hope that's all ok, if not, then I can just delete the post and you two can do whatever.)

Destroy each and every one of them...
The idea seemed pretty cool, and Fen did like the sound of it. Destruction was nice... But it still didn't help the cause. Obviously they wanted to destroy them all, but being inside a city wouldn't help that much... Unless....
"Drendil if you've got an explosive that annihilates all of the demons why are you not using it now and sparing your men?" asked the boy, assuming that is what Drendil had in mind, "and it's fine if you don't want to come to the Void with me... Hiro and Alex are gonna be there... whoever they are. Apparently Sirigoth might have left the book that opened the portals there and since he's fighting the 'Great and Glorious Angel Lord' it's largely unprotected... But first they want to talk to you 'cause Love Are Win told them you could help..."
He stopped for a moment, then opened his mouth to see if anything else came out. Then closed his eyes really tight to see if more thoughts came. Nope. He had done it again, unwittingly straying into the minds of those who were too focused on fighting. Although the mind of the angel lord did leave him a little dizzy. So much delusion, but so much power.. Fen couldn't help but wonder...
The boy stood up straight for the first time in years, maybe decades. Millenia? Dunno. Who cares?
He took a deep breath and raised his chin.
"The Bad Wolf has come! Glory be to him!" he spoke. ...Nothing.... No divine glow, no extra power. No end of the world...
"Guess there's more to it than a deluded ego... Anyways, fluffy is coming.... Why does everyone have a pet but me? Gah! Confusing! Maybe if I carried food around instead of spontaneous meals... Must be it... Anyways, you'd better do your magick destruction of demons while you have the chance, cuz Fluffy and Shiny are on there way and I..." the boy stopped for a moment, seeing a glowing symbol on his hand, "I DO HAVE FRIENDS!" he yelled excitedly.
There on his right hand in flashing in the opposing colors of red and blue were two symbols. The red was the symbol of an angry skull, the other was a regal beast. Then came a third... the vacant sun, glowing black. But it was different. It wasn't HIS sun. His sun was better. The beast and the angry skull, now looking a little like a serpent figure grew close and then headed towards the vacant sun.
"OOOOOOOH I GET IT!" said the boy.
And then a horde of demons came erupting towards the barriers, angry, hungry, and with one word yelling in their minds. "Kill!"
"Sure thing," said Fen, "I'm good at that," he finished as he hefted his blades and threw them at the onslaught, his mind pushing a force to slow them down so that they could stop long enough for his blades to cut them.
But this wasn't just to kill, his friends had told him to do it as well. Making noise was a great way for Fluffy to find them. Besides, Fen was hungry again, and if anyone would end this world it would be him. That, or maybe he'd find a puppy.

Land again, several hours later- Alexandra was really beginning to hurt at this point. As soon as solid ground was available, she touched down. She turned, looking out over the water behind her. A mile to the west held the place where the demons who spawned from the Void Portal had begun to cross the waters toward the central continent. The elven girl sighed, tired, and looked back inland, where her current goal sat within arm's reach. With a great push, she got back off the ground and into the air, heading toward the assaulted city. Even without Luvaran's initial direction, finding the city at this point was easy- the trail from the massive portal to a single point(aside from the the part of the force at the coast) made it pretty clear. Alexandra's vision blurred, though whether it was because of her own exhaustion or the heat radiating from the ground was unclear to her.
It soon became clear to her that she was losing altitude. Last time she'd traveled this far, she had been carrying Aylin to Druid's Keep, and that had a good final destination. This was farther, and held no such rest by making it to the final point. Her body must have noticed that. In her haze, she finally picked out the cave that held the city within it. She pushed herself, the goal in sight, to reach the Eternal a little bit faster. She entered the cave at the highest spot she could manage, trying to avoid demonic attention. Dirt and dried blood helped disguise the poor thing, blending her into the rock face.
In her haze, she didn't quite count on the warlock shield raised against the demons getting in her way. At the last moment before impact, she raised her own shield before slamming into the barrier. The sickening aura of this place wasn't really helping her as she struggled to stay aloft. Alexandra pressed against the shield, almost crying from frustration. She placed her hands flat against the warlock shield and felt its magic flow, very similar to her own barrier, though on a much larger intensive purposive scale. With a little coaxing, her own barrier flowed into it and she slipped through. The warlock covering her position of course noticed the adjusting flow of his own magic, and called back to the archers surrounding. They raised their bows, nocking an arrow, and pulled back to full draw, staring at the lone figure within the shield, shield of her own faded away, hanging midway in the air. She was so tired. Just before the archers let their arrows fly, Alexandra wondered for a moment if Hiro were right behind her. The arrows were loosed.
Alexandra raised her shield once again, this time only in front of her, as the whistling sound that arrows made tipped her off. The enchanted things tore through the weakest points of her shield, tearing at her skin and clothes. She let herself fall to he ground, slowing just enough so that wouldn't hurt her, and sank to the ground. A couple of ground troops came at her, weapons raised. They paused a moment- she wasn't a citizen, nor was she demon or angel. Her green eyes and blue circlet attested to that. What was a wretch like this doing outside of their city and not dead. Alexandra ignored them a moment, whimpering as she healed the grazes and other injuries she had acquired from the archer's initial barrage. Rather than running her through, what Alexandra guessed was the leader of this particular little group, snarled at her.
"What are you doing here, girl?"
She looked at him, her eyes barely focusing on the man. "I'm here to see Drendil." Her words came clear as day, though quiet. The group laughed, and two of them grabbed her roughly by the arms, hauling her up off the ground.
"You are now a prisoner of his lordship then." The captain laughed, turning to lead them back. They passed through the gates and into the Necro City.

Drendil sat, still on the steps, as a messenger was allowed to move past his guards. Quickly the man moved up the steps, dropping to one knee, breathing hard. "Speak," said the Eternal, his voice hard. "There is a woman here my Lord, she doesn't look like a monster, what do you want us to do with her?" the messenger asked, an anxious look on his face. The Eternal was not well known for his forgiveness when it came to wasting time. Drendil sat there for a moment, his face an expressionless mask. "Bring her to me." Nodding stupidly, happy that his Lord would not kill him. While he waited Drendil watched the strange boy Fen run off down the hall toward the Demons. The Eternal didn't really care what happened to the child, he was a tool at best. A few minutes later a beaten, bloodied girl was dragged down the city street. Once she was dragged past the guards she was thrown to the steps before the Eternal. Eying her he bellowed, "How did she get through?!" "She changed a part of the barrier my lord, which allowed her to slip through," said a very meek, and white faced Warlock. Dax growled in frustration, sharing in his masters irritation. "Strengthen the barrier, do not let it happen again. Nothing gets through the barrier into my city, without my say so!" As the men who brought the girl to him ran off to fulfill. Walking down the steps, his cloak trailing behind him. Grabbing the girl by the hair he yanked her face up in his direction. "Master, she is from the north!" yelled Dax through their link. "Yes I see. But why is she here?" he thought to himself. "What is your name girl?" he asked, his cold blue eyes looking directly into her own.

Alexandra dragged in her captor's arms, losing feeling in her limbs. She was so tired and achy all over- the lack of sensation was almost comforting in her state of exhaustion. They dragged her into an open room and tossed her to the floor. Someone above her yelled, making the one who had held her run in fear. 'Maybe...' It was getting difficult to really think, and there was no positive energies in the room for her to even consider borrowing energy from. Pain shot through her scalp and she became vaguely aware that she was being made to face the one who had yelled.
"What is your name girl?"
She focused on him, clearing as much mist from her mind as possible. Alexandra smiled at him softly, recognizing the unhappy eternal form her vision.
"I found you... Drendil..." She closed her eyes for a bit longer than a standard blink, then opened them again. "I'm... Alexandra Althos..." Her eyes closed and did not open again.

Fen laid outside the cave and saw a girl stumble into the cave. She had longer hair than Fen, but he wouldn't consider it fluffy... or much like a wolf at all.
All he knew was that the wolf man was coming, a fluffy one. Must have been demon minds that had seen him and echoed into Fen's mind.
Still this dazed girl was obviously not a man... unless of course she was a he. Once the professor meanie was celebrating and got dizzy and ended up coming in to the cave the next day smelling of perfume. Maybe this girl was celebrating... although he doubted that. Her mind was dazed yes... but also not very fluffy.
Then he saw it, wind rushing around him, his cloak blowing and fluffy head. Definitely fluffy. And wolfy. Wolf. Bad Wolf. No he was more of a good wolf. Although wolf still. Expect he was actually part wolf, not just a name of symbolism.
Still, He was here.
"Drendiilll! I was right! The fluffy is here!" yelled the bad wolf boy as he approached the steps room where the elf girl seemed to be taken prisoner.
"Sorry to interrupt," said Fen to the two, "but there's another guy here. He's with Alex," he said dubbing the girl... although he probably heard her say the name," anyways he's not here for a fight against you. But he probably can't get through your barrier." He looked at the girl and thought she was a little cute... but not like a puppy. She looked nice, and she wanted to get rid of the demons to. No point in killing her. She was nice, maybe she'd get Fen a puppy.

As Hiro approached the cave that Alex entered they were not able to move further. There was a barrier they could not pass. Their mind reached out to try and contact Alex and see what had happened, but as his mind opened he felt an odd presence. "Wolf. Bad wolf. Good wolf. Real Wolf. Fluffy is here."
Hiro didn't understand this completely, other than that someone obviously knew he was here... and it was not Alex.
Still, this presence had expected him, and was getting Drendil to open up the barrier. They stood still, waiting patiently to enter the cave and meet with Drendil face to face.
