Hiro fought along side Drendil for a time, his blade dancing across the ranks, carving deeper into the horde, but it was as before, the numbers proved to be too thick for him to fight this way. Another demon rushed forward and thrust a spiked ball tail at his stomach, it went through his armor, but the blow had the force to send him back before it managed to hit any of his vital parts. He got up to face his attacker, his armor preventing him from losing blood and the enchantment of his lunatic friend keeping him from feeling the large amount of pain that a normal person would have felt.
Before he could think of another tactic to try, he heard Alex cry as she hit the ground with a thud.
He focused the air around him again as the demon came forward and with a battle cry his sword cut through the demons renewal of attack and send a raging wind tearing through the demon and the ranks behind him.
His clawed hand extended outward and a ball of fire flew forward before taking the shape of a burning wolf which tackled the nearby demons and exploded.
Hiro ran after the wolf and cut down more demons before offering Alex his hand and pouring healing energy into her.
"Are you ok?" he asked, letting some of the extra healing energy repair a minimal amount of the damage done to his stomach.
He was beginning to grow weary again. It was clear that the group needed a much stronger push, as well as tighter ranks. At this rate one would fall and the rest of the group would be powerless to help.

"Fen! Clear us a path!" he heard Drendil yell.
Eager to please, and kill, and do both at the same time, Fen launched himself forward with a blast of psychic energy. He became a corkscrew, his blades slicing through a bunch of demons. He landed with a thud and scrape on the ground, and rolled into a large demon which kicked him in the stomach knocking him in to the air and then with his massive hand began to choke the boy.
"Let.... go... of... me..." gasped the boy.
His face turned purple, both from a lack of air and the immense frustration.
Fen's sharp friend ripped into the demons stomach and he was free again, taking a deep breath when more demons began to attack.
With a yell he pushed them back with black and red needles of psychic energy shooting through them like bullets.
But still they continued, and what was worse, one of them rushed forward to cut the poor bad wolf pup.
The wound had begun to heal shortly after the demon was decapitated, but in the boy's blood he saw something... chaos... murder... death...
"Kill....", came a primal calling from within the lad.
He began to breathe deeper, and his eyes turned blood red and dark energy began to form like clouds.
He wailed loudly, causing the nearby demons to cringe and stop for a moment and the boy grabbed his Reavers and began slicing his way through the ranks, occasionally kicking a hole in one of the more fragile demons. He grabbed the chains of his weapons and began spinning them, cutting through more demons. As he swung one of his blades in a circle over his head it sliced a flying demon in half, showering him in crimson bliss.
"I'm the Bad Wolf... And you," a black spear of psychic energy witha red outline shot through a larger demon, "Are all," he spins his right reaver over his head whistling with the rattle of chains even faster, as he throws his the left one into the air. "DEAD!" he shouts as he throws his right weapon into the ranks ripping through a line of demons. The momentum carries him forward and the mid air weapon slams down cutting another demon in half and sending a wave of dark energy rippling through the mass of demons.
The chains return quickly, like snakes in tall grass and his Reavers return to his hands, blood dripping off of the invisible psychic barrier.
The boy is now standing up straight for a change, and the playful look on his face has gone, replaced but utter madness and a devilish grin. He laughs the laugh of a maniac and continues running through the enemies, cutting them up and smashing his head into theirs. The insane laughter echoes through the caves, he grows covered in blood, both his and his enemies, and laughs even harder.

Drendil watched Fen launch himself into the Demon ranks. Not exactly what the Eternal had in mind, but it was working, giving his forces an easier way to push forward. Maybe, if Fen continued to behave himself, he'd get him some type of puppy that the odd child was always babbling about. Almost fully healed thanks to Alex, Drednil lifted his great blade, now returned to it's normal form, and lead a charge forward. Bobbing and weaving, expertly carving his way forward with his blade the Eternal was soon right behind Fen, his troops following mere steps behind. The Eternal watched Alex's fall, and Hiro's brave rescue out of the corner of his eye. There was little room to pay attention to his comrades while staving off the Demonic assault. As they reached the front of the cave, were the horde was thickest, Drendil began to grow a bit concerned about Fen's well fare, he was after all a useful tool, and Drendil couldn't have the boy dieing against such petty beings. Wiping out his hand flames lanced out from his finger tips, creating a wall of sorts before the Demons, giving them a small reprieve. "Fen, Hiro, Alex, to me!" he yelled above the howls of Demon and man alike. It was getting close to the final push. They needed a better plan than brunt force.

Alexandra started to shiver, her whole body strangely cold despite how hot and humid a battlefield, full of pressing and flailing bodies, was. Hiro's battle cry echoed in her head strangely. She struggled into a sitting position, grateful for Drendil's men saving her initially. More demons bore down on them. Then the shaman was there, the demons cleared by his magic. The priestess eyed him strangely, looking hollow with an ashen face and blood seeping from her wounds.
"Are you okay?"
Alexandra was suddenly aware again, like her whole world had been brought up to speed. she slapped her hand over his, almost surprised he had appeared before her. Her skin was knitting itself back together, Hiro's magic coaxing it along. The sick feeling passed as the magic cleared the foulness from her body. She looked at Hiro, grateful. "Yes, thank you..."
"Fen, Hiro, Alex, to me!" Drendil called to the pair over the din of the battle.
Alexandra stood up, shaking the dirt from her, still holding Hiro's hand. With her free hand she touched the necklace at her throat, then freed both hands, taking a step up off the ground and moved on through the pressing warriors toward the Eternal.

Hearing Drendil's call Hiro swung his sword and created a vaccum of wind to cut his foes before launching forward on his left foot with his claw out towards another demon, ripping it as he landed.
He fought his way through the swarm and was back at Drendil's side, making sure not to leave Alex behind however, he kept distance enough to fire an emergency blast.
Hiro looked forward to see the oddity known as Fen ripping his way through the ranks. He seemed different now... more violent, more controlled, and if possible, more insane. Still, the damage he was wreaking seemed to be quite effective.
"We're almost through.... but the end of the cave is going to be thick with demon," yellled Hiro above the din to Drendil, "I'm not sure if we'll have the momentum to break through at this rate!"
Tempest meanwhile had stayed nearby his companion, not fighting, only watching. Not yet a part of this world.
Both wolf and man knew that it was not yet time to change that, they would need that burst and all the energy they could muster to get to the void and face whatever demons guarded the book.

The Blaidd Drwg heard some sort of yelling coming from Drendil about going back to him.
But why? This was no time to reward him with a puppy, and going backwards was the opposite of what he wanted.
The boy continued to rage through the ranks, ripping them to shreds and letting the blood wash over him.
He could smell fresh air... or almost fresh. Those demons sure did smell!
But just as the boy was about to make it to the exit, a large, mean, ugly, smelly, stupid no good doodoo head of a demon knocked Fen back, ruining his momentum and allowing for more stupid demons to attack him.
One demon managed to poke Fen in the eye, another grazed his side.
He could hardly move. The boy whipped his reavers around and beheaded them, but still the large demon was in the way.
"Move!" yelled the boy as he sent a blast of psychic energy at the demon.
But it only fell over and crushed others, before getting back up.
Now Fen was angry.
The dark energy around him gathered and shifted, above him a figure of two dark eyes appeared and at his side grew two very large, very dark wolves, a glowing gold light over one and a silver over the other. The wolves snapped hungrily at the orbs and devoured them, their was a sound of something ripping, a thread of some sort, and from above Fen the large eyes burst out in the biggest wolf of all, tackling the large demon and obliterating it, the other two wolves followed suit, running through the demonic ranks and destroying them.
Fen began to levitate, energy blasting from his hands, eyes, mouth feet, back, and chest, bombarding the demonic ranks, slicing them, blowing them up and over all decimating the ranks. Some blasts were beams of energy which blasted straight through the demons, others were blades that sliced them in to shreds, others flew at them and exploded, leaving bits of dead demons in their wake, dripping corpses and festering remains.

Drendil stood there watching the young boys monstrous attack and was mildly impressed. However now was not the time to think. "Charge!" yelled the Eternal, drawing up his sword once more. "To the portal!" he bellowed over the battlefield as he made his way towards to portal. Moving through the broken demon corpses, following the cleared path as closely as possible, the Eternal moved, carving his way through those few demons who tried to stop him. Within a matter of minutes he was too the portal, his face feet from it's glimmering surface. "Come Dax, it's time to go," he whispered in the Dragon's mind. The young dragon barreled through the passage way scattering those who couldn't get out of his way. Within moments he was out of the cave and had taken flight, his massive dark form gliding through the air, adding to the destruction by raining down whatever fire he could. A few seconds later the Dragon landed beside his master, who's armor had now fully recovered and had healed his wounds. The two made a frightening sight. Once his companions had arrived he would enter through the portal, take the book and end the war. Already he could see the bulk of his forces pressing their advantage against the bewildered demons, cutting through their ranks easily. His dark legion made their way toward the Eternal, their dark forms a dark contrast to the bright environment.
