Hiro stood uneasy in the hall. Both from worry about his friend and fatigue from his journey. He had fought a lot, and thanks to his gift of pain tolerance from Lunas he hadn't felt much... but now it all seemed to hit him. Flying was all he was able to do on the way to the city, aside from swing his sword and claw. Now they were hoping to invade the Void? The young man shook his head, here had thought he was done with suicide missions to other dimensions.
He couldn't help but laugh at the odd boy Fen's displays of youthful boredom and disrespect towards the shadowy man who seemed to be Drendil's right hand.
But the droll moment was broken quickly as the building shook and and was followed shortly by Drendil who had exited his room, now barking orders.
"Sir, I would suggest you follow us to the throne room," said a guard.
Hiro nodded and followed through the great arced doors, his emerald eyes wandering around the grand architecture.
Drendil would be here soon, and Hiro half wished he still had his sword to lean on. His armor was slowly pouring energy back in to him, but in the state of Ira at the moment it was a very slim rationing for his soul.
Still, he managed to find the strength to stand up straight, as he had learned from his father appearance was important when making treaties and pacts.

Fen snapped out of whatever state he had been in, almost startled by Drendil and his display of volume and tone.
To his dismay, as the door opened all he saw was a tied up elf and no signs of a puppy.
"Damn! How am I supposed to end the world without something soft and furry?" asked the boy to the ceiling, as if what he was saying made perfect sense to even the dullest of tactical minds.
Still, Fen followed the brown haired guy who seemed so Heroic he would call him Hiro, into the throne room and waited for Drendil to do something typical of an old man. Maybe take some herbal tonic to calm his blood flow? After all, he couldn't be blamed what with demons at his door and so many people coming into his house while it was in such a state of chaos. He really did need to relax.
Then Fen realized it... He didn't need a puppy... Drendil did! Then again, Incognito had a dog and he was always grumpy, and the dragon Drendil had seemed like it might eat a puppy. He was close to the dragon, so maybe a puppy was what he needed!
Fen stood up proudly, realizing why he was so cranky. The dragon was hungry!
"I'll be right back!" Yelled the boy as if anyone actually was paying attention.
He ran as fast as he could outside and threw one of his blades at a speck in the sky before dragging it back into the city and putting it in front of the black dragon near the glowing wolf.
"Dinner!" said the boy happily.
He looked at what he had grabbed, a small baby eagle that was probably running from the demons. It squeaked weakly still barely alive. The boy looked at it for a moment. He had killed a baby bird!
"Squak!" "Shut up!" he said ass he stomped its head.
Now he had killed a baby bird! How cool!
Without checking if the dragon ate the bird he ran back to the throne room, hands still bloody and a little out of breath between fighting demons and running around. He hunched over more than usual, the opposite of the heroic guy next to him with the really shiny lookin claw.
Fen waited patiently, his arms resting on his shiny sharp friends for Drendil to get back from taking his mid day tea with the elf girl... thinking about how cool it would be to get a puppy and if it would make the same annoying sounds as the dead eagle.

Alexandra tensed, her shield shimmering about her in preparation of the unknown force outside of the citadel. The distraction made her forget about the potential problems of this bind would have. She bit her lip, looking on as Drendil jumped up and left, pissed as all hell.
"Get in there and untie the girl."
The elven girl tried not to fidget as the armed guard came in and released her from the warlock's bindings. She stood up quickly, rubbing her wrists, then swiped her fans from the table. It annoyed her to have lost the sword; it was nice and worked well with her skills. She tucked them into the bodice of her corset and turned to follow Drendil. The guard who had released her stood in her way.
"You're going to need to put those fans back..." His voice waivered, but it wasn't from fear of her.
Alexandra scowled. "You'd deny a woman her own fans?"
"When you kill things with them, yes..." He was snide right back. Alexandra hesitated, but pulled them out when he reached for her. She didn't need anyone else touching her right now. After the guard seemed happy enough to have disarmed her, she slipped by him and ran down the hall after Drendil. She hung back a little bit. His blinding rage wasn't something she intended to get in the way of, and she was sure she'd get used and beaten enough after she was bound to him. Why... Why would Ira ask this of her...

The Eternal stormed down the hall, his furry still streaming out of him. As he punched the great arched doors open that lead to the throne room he walked purposefully up to his throne, turned about and sat down, his anger still shrouding him like a dark aura. His cold eyes surveyed the room, watching the two men silently. Hiro seemed exhausted and about ready to drop dead at a slight breeze. Fen, was as always irritably fidgety. Drendil's eyes narrowed at the sight of the claw that Hiro wore on his arm. Suddenly a group of guards walked in, hauling chairs for the guests to sit in, arranging them in an arc before the throne. One guard slid quietly up the steps of the throne bearing Alex's weapons. "Take them to my chambers, and place them with Hiro's sword," he said to the guard, his tone clearly marked with anger. "The...the..there was a problem with the sword..." the guard stuttered. Drendil's head snapped to the groveling man, his eyes burning with anger, his fury rising once more at the incompetence of his men. "What could have possibly gone wrong?" he asked, his deep voice echoing through the room. "When we tried to pick it up, it shocked and sliced the man....and it killed him.." he trailed off. Drendil sat there for a moment, silent. "Find a pair of tongs and pick it up with that," he said eying Hiro for a reaction. "Take it to my chambers and put it there along with Alex's weapons," he said gesturing to the fans and blade at his feet. "Keep guards outside the room and let none but myself in do you understand?" he asked, a harsh edge in his voice. The guard nodded feebly then stumbled away to obey his Lords desire. "And find Alex and Incognito and bring them here!" he yelled after him. Drendil sat back on his throne, one hand on the pommel of his blade, tapping his fingers on it waiting for the pair to return.
Outside the citadel Dax could feel his master anger and was glad he was not on the receiving end. The black Dragon eyed the glowing wolf warily, "What are you?" he asked telepathically. The boy Fen's discarded eagle had remained untouched by the Dragon. It looked particularly disgusting and even had it looked like a healthy bird, this small snack would have done nothing but make him more hungry.

Alexandra rounded the corner just as the guard sent to retrieve her and Incognito ran through the doorway. She caught him, looping her arms around his waist to keep them from both tumbling to the stone floor. He looked up at her, startled. The impact had left her feeling even worse, the hurting she was going through reflecting in her eyes.
"Breathe..." She whispered, more to herself than to him, though he nodded to her.
"M'lady, you need to go take a seat before m'lord." With that, he ran off.
Alexandra sighed, woozy. She hoped they'd leave soon- the city aura wasn't doing her any good. After a moment, she walked in, standing tall and with her natural grace. Hiro stood behind the chairs; Alexandra assumed he was going to take a seat soon, if he could make it. A strange boy stood near him, but Fen was of little consequence to her.
"Hiro..." She whispered, touching his armour. "I heard you... I just don't know how to talk back..." Her energy seeped into his, urging him to at least feel better. If either of them were going to defend themselves, it'd be better to be him. Alexandra wondered a moment why the aura seemed to not be touching him the way it seemed to touch her. After a few seconds, she pulled away, needing some of her own to maintain this. She couldn't imagine how much trouble she'd be in if she fell asleep in the middle of their negotiations... Though it seemed they had already been made. Hiro just needed to be let in on the details. He wouldn't be happy, for sure.

Hiro couldn't help but chuckle at how the guards had struggled with his sword. Finally, he saw Alex enter the room and his heart grew lighter.
"I heard you... I just don't know how to talk back," said the elf.
He felt like hitting himself, "When I'm in your head I can read your mind, but later I'll try to teach you to use telepathy."
He breathed in and felt relaxed as Alex's energy seeped in to him.
"Save it for yourself, I'll be alright with time..."
Still, something didn't feel right....
Meanwhile outside the citadel Tempest sat with his mind connected to Hiro's, sharing his worries.
What are you? asked the dragon.
I am part of Hiro, tethered to this world by him. We share all thoughts and feelings. That is all you need to know." replied the glowing wolf.

Fen watched as the elf girl joined them in the room and seemed to give Hiro strength.
Then got bored watching them talk and focused on all the frantic mutterings of the guards.
"Drendil's gonna kill me!"
"Watch where you're going! If Drendil saw you stumble..."
"Okay, here we go, this is my chance to impress Lord Drendil..."
Boring.
Annoyed by this, Fen decided to close his eyes and nap, the one idea that seemed good. Why the elf didn't do it, he wasn't sure. His gray eyes shut and within moments he was dreaming of the joys of having a puppy.

Incognito sensed his master's rage. To not tempt Drendil into a even bigger anger, he told Cog to stay outside the hall. He entered the hall and spotted Fen sleeping. Immediately, he set off towards Fen and kicked him hard in the chest.
"WAKE UP, BOY! THIS IS NO TIME TO BE ASLEEP!" Incognito roared. "Do you WANT to be killed on the spot for your insolence!?"

Fen was in a big grassy field, and millions of puppies ran around him barking and tugging at his clothes, cats meowed... IT WAS TERRIBLE!
Then in a flash the whole field caught fire, millions of people screamed in agony, the puppies ran as Fen chased them throwing kittens with his blades. The kittens' guts trailed, one even hit a child in the eye causing him to cry before he exploded.
Much better.
Then he felt something and the wonderland disappeared.
Startled by Incognito's rudeness, Fen woke up and sent a wave of psychic energy blasting his assailant away, his blades followed up and as his eyes opened he realized it was Incognito.
"Wha? Did I miss something?" the boy looked around confused.
Incognito was upset for some reason, this could mean only one thing....
He had slept through getting his puppy....
"Noooooo!!!!! Bring it back! I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare it away!"

"Silence!" bellowed the Eternal. He had sat silently upon his throne, looking down at the group assembled before him. His patients was running thin. It wouldn't be long before he started killing people if things didn't quiet down.
"The girl," he started, pointing at Alex, "has told me something of what has happened and what your goal is. However, I fail to understand what exactly it is you want from me in all of this." Drendil paused, looking down at Hiro. "I assume the pair of you have a plan, and that the Dragon that is sunbathing outside my domain is a friend of yours," he said, a harsh tone in his voice. "Well," he said, "What do we do now?"

Alexandra stepped away from Hiro and with a flourish sat down in one of the chairs pulled out for their use. She began to speak without even waiting for the chieftan to sit down, preferring to get this done as soon as humanly possible.
"We intend to enter the Void while Sirigoth is distracted in the Central Continent, to retrieve the book. While we expect little resistance, since most of his forces are attacking Aelb, he will most likely have left something or someone to guard the book. We want you to accompany us into the Void, help subdue or circumvent whatever is in our way, and help us escape with the book. It needs to be taken to Druid's Keep and destroyed..." She shivered, trying to hide how sick she felt here. "The dragon is one of ours, yes..." The priestess was exhausted. The idea of another draining adventure dragged on her.
"We should prepare and leave as soon as possible... As for your insurance, when will your binding be ready?"

Hiro nodded, "Sirigoth is more powerful than any of us, and clever as well. Even if the Void isn't expecting an attack, we can rest assured that he'll have something guarding the book. We'd be best hitting full force. When the book is gone my forces will route the demons. As far as I can tell, this is our best bet for stopping the invasion," the young man added to his elf friend's statement.
But at the mention of insurance, Hiro looked to Alex and gave her a look, and sent a thought which both translated to "I hope you know what you're doing."

The Eternal chuckled. "You must have a might army indeed to wipe clean the Demons in the world after the book is gone. Even without the book, you can bet that the Demons will not go back willingly. So what if destroying this book doesn't send them back? What shall you do then? What if Sirigoth is waiting for us when we arrive?" Turning to the girl, Drendil's cold eyes met her own. "Your necklace shall be ready within two days as we discussed. We shall leave when it is done." Sitting back in his throne he looked at the two young fighters before him. "What kind of resistance should we expect while we are in there? While my city may be isolated by the swarm of Demons we still have many resources at our disposal and we should make full use of them."

Hiro listened intently, as odd as it was he was almost enjoying discussing tactics. He hadn't spoken of them with anyone since Luvaran...
"My army is strong... But you're right they alone will not be able to push all of them back. But the angels are still here and I know them to be creatures of opportunity, Zephius refuses to let this world slip in to demonic hands... No matter how many of his precious children die, he will make the sacrifice. Of course unless Sirigoth leaves his battle with Zephius, he will not come to the Void. If he does though... A bug flying into the eye of a giant is enough to buy a few precious seconds. Even if the eyelids crush it. I'll hold him off as best I can, and perhaps Arion will help. Over all we will have 6 people. 3 to hold off Sirigoth, 3 to get the book. This is our best bet," spoke the young man.

The elven girl glanced over at her companion, and smiled sadly. He probably wouldn't agree with her decisions, but Ira did not present a challenge lest she provide a way to succeed. It was a for the greater good thing, and Alexandra hoped Hiro could forgive her for that.
She shook her head. "If Sirigoth gets notified of our presence and intent, the likelihood that he not come protect what is enabling him to have this invasion is pretty slim. We should count on him coming after the book, and us..." Alexandra sighed. The idea of coming back with only half the team was simply irritating. In a way, it meant she had failed as a combat healer. They would really have to move too, since the book had to be destroyed at the Keep. But who were the other two Hiro spoke of? "Drendil, you, myself, and who else did you have in mind?" She asked, puzzled. Luvaran obviously wasn't coming, same going for Aylin. Unless Drendil intended to take the two squabbling minions in the back, but Hiro wouldn't know that. The elven woman eyed the young chief with curiosity.
