Arion merely grunted in acknowledgment, hoping Hiro could hear him. As soon as he was deep within the forest outlying the battlefield, he drew himself straight up and calmed down. His breathing slowed, and his body was still as stone.
Lightly, his singing voice began to recite...
"This will break the barriers of this world...
And shatter all that is Truth to be known....
For normality, there is only the delusional Fire...
For superiority, there is only the false comfort of Worship...
I, Arion Casea, acknowledge my power in ripping open this space...
Power within me, power without, know I speak Truth...
I accept responsibility and I note full understanding of that I open...
All planes, be they astral or material, will be open to me...
Whom walks with wings, blade, and power...
For benefit to all, I release thee...
I release thee, the seal that holds me...
Know that I wish not for power in selfishness...
I sing not for myself, but for all others, in which life is null..."
He took a deep breath and spun his halberd around above him before stabbing it into the ground beneath him. The earthen crust below cracked and crumbled, with fiery lava beginning to seep up.
"Now then, as time will pass, I crack the barriers of this fragile space...
Now then, like precious molten glass, you bow to me, bend at my pace..."
The seal around Arion's neck began to shake and tremble, and a blinding light shot from the sky and into the earth below him. Using the break in the earth as a center point, a symbol and seals drew around him. Pure red energy, literally his mana, flowed through the cracks in the earth.
"My blood flows freely, no bonds to tie me down,
I, Arion Casea, Prince of the Silvers, future to the Crown..."
The Seal embroidered on his Cloak glowed blindingly white, as the Seal upon the ground mimicked with red.
"I command thee, residing inside me, now take true form...
Bring power to your Child, to mend what there is to mourn...
I grasp now that which is rightfully mine, of birth and of blood!
Blood Seal of the Dragon!"
At his command, the boundaries of space and time shimmered and ripped around him, opening dimensions through which his blood - his mana - could flow into him to allow for a full transformation. The Bloodmoon that he had thrown up earlier sped this process up ten fold, and his massive armored form burst forth from within. He knew he had to distract the horde so that Alex and Hiro could get through. He would try to meet them when they were safely near or through the portal.
Shortly after his transformation, his enormous form crashed through the edge of the treeline back into the battlefield. He towered over demons of all sizes, and the dragons above him in the sky looked like fledgelings to him - but he did not doubt the power of his enemies. In fact, he gave them more credit than they probably deserved. It was better to overestimate your enemy, so you could always compensate...
He continued at a constant run, crashing through battalion after battalion and spearheading the enemy forces at every front. After crushing through one, he continued forward and turned - he couldn't stop. That would pigeon-hole him into a corner. He kept running at full speed, using his massive size and weight like a battering ram of devastating momentum.
His eyes had almost fully engulfed in their red tint. The gem upon his forehead shown a black mist beginning to whirl within it.
No retreat...no surrender... came a voice from the back of his head.
