Orcs
The origin of orcs is a mystery. Some believe them to be a mix between the demons of old and barbarian tribes of desert. Others believe them to be ruffians who have spent too long in the desert.
All that is known for sure if the cardinal rule of the desert: don't mess with the orcs.
Also known as green skins, the orcs are the most brutal and savage race of Ira. They have no real cities, preferring to squat in invaded territories or make camp wherever they see fit. Each tribe has one chieftain who is chosen through hand to hand combat. The strongest orc gets to lead but If they do not appease their followers the other orcs will leave or much more likely kill the wimp and select a new leader. While they do not have their own cities the deserts of the west tend to be considered orc territory and few have the gull(or brain damage) to dare travel there. As far as appearances go, orcs are big, muscular and as their name describes usually have a green or gray hide. Their ears are point, whatever hair they have is black, and their noses are closer to slits. They drink ale that tastes like rancid milk mixed with sweat and eat meat raw, even if its rotted. Their teeth are like tusks and almost always yellow. Almost all orc tribes have a shaman to work magic and make predictions. Many orcs are considered dumb, but occasionally you’ll have the most dangerous orcs: the clever kind.
Orcs are numerous and excellent warriors. If they have the control and patients to all unite, they could easily take over all of Ira. Thankfully, whenever this comes close to happening, one orc bumps in to another and the whole battalion turns into a large scale brawl.
