The Dark Elves emerged the same time as their elven cousins. However among the elves were those that favored war for the sake of war, no honor, glory or higher calling. Just a sense of victory at any cost. they began to use the shadows and extracted as many secrets from the darkness. As such the high elves began calling them Dark Elves. Refusing to be associated with the pompous High Elves and foolish Wood Elves, they named themselves the Drow and made their own home in the dark caverns deep beneath the mountains.
Drow are elven, no matter who would like to deny this fact. The most notable feature of drow is their black skin, and pale (most usually white) hair. Drow on average are rarely more then five feet in height. Male drow weigh between 80 and 110 pounds, and females weigh between 95 and 120. They are typically elven in appearance, other then their color. They have long delicate fingers, pointed ears, and almond-shaped eyes.
Drow live underground, in caverns and such known as the Salvator’s Hollow. They have well-developed night vision, due to the lack of light, but they tend to be very intolerant of sunlight on the surface, or bright magical light. They do not fight well under such circumstances, and would rather avoid them.
The dark elves are something of masters at weaponry, seeing as how violent they are. Although much of it does not radiate magic, drow weaponry tends to have some unusual powers to it. Drow often wear cloaks and boots that help keep them hidden, often with magical effects. They often wear chain armor and carry weaponry made of a steel alloy containing adamantite. They also carry such things as snake-headed whips and small handheld crossbows, the bolts often poisoned.
The city has 10,000 drow inhabitants and hundreds of thousands of humanoid slaves that range from a variety of creatures. The city trades a variety of goods. The worship of Morralain is prevalent, and the city has the clerical academy Arach-Tinilith building where priestesses are trained. One of the branches of the city's triune academies of Tier Brieche, Arach-Tinilith is neighbors by the warrior school Melee-Magthere, and Sorcere tower where arcane spellcasters are sent to study. These academies are the quarters of some of the most powerful clerics, fighters and wizards, respectively, and the title of master of an academy is coveted, since being the master of Sorcere or Melee-Magthere is as high as the power ladder goes for some houseless drow or even noble males.

Now some of the more keen eyed of players may have noticed that we have completely ripped of RA Salvators Drow. This is for two real main reasons. Firstly, is you can have a game like this without the Drow they’re just too badass. Second reason is pretty simple. RA Salvator did to good of a job with creating this race and society. Neither of us could think of a way to improve upon what Salvator has created so we operate under the idea of if you cant improve it then leave it. Now some of you may feel that this is us being lazy but that’s just not true. They’re just too badass to leave out. They’re Drow, they have to be in it. So we end with this. All credit to the Drow goes entirely to RA Salvator. Adam and myself have in no way any ownership over the Drow or anything to do with their soceity. All we have done is change a few things to adapt them to our world.
