Arrow Tooth's men marched forward, armed and ready for one hell of a fight. The veteran and his elite guard grinned, hungry for battle.
Various people were sharpening their swords and axes, testing the weight of their weapons and the bend of their bows.
Near by he knew he had a cavalry waiting to strike, moving carefully through nearby trees.
Hiro had instructed him to move slowly, that if his friends had failed, demons could transport themselves directly into Ira, no even needing the gate in the South.
They needed to make sure that at least one unit would be nearby as they traveled, Hiro's would be coming soon, along with his mysterious friend. But for now, they waited, slowly moving to the south and hoping that Aelb and Canni wouldn't notice them for now.
Arrow Tooth knew that Aelb's forces were weakened from their attempt to invade the North, they could withstand a siege but did not have the man power to send out. Canni... Well those mongrels were allied with the demons. They were the ones to watch for.
"Pathetic," said Arrow Tooth thinking aloud, "Relying on otherworldly forces to do their bidding. At least our mate Hiro's got his own strength, the strength of Ira."
His second in command was near by and heard this, "But he's a magic user," said the man.
"Magic ain't nothin but a part of someone. Never understood why people were so pissy about it. Way i see it we all have our strengths. Our lot, we rumble hard and thrash people with our body. Others need magic... Hiro, well he's got both those it seems... and even more. That lad's friends with the world it seems. And ya know what? With demons, angels and all sorts of other lot comin in and the dragons almost gone out of here, I think it's only right we got ourselves a proper defender."
"That why you trust him? Why you stuck up for him? You ain't scared he's gonna use his magic trickery?" said the man.
"That fight o' his was to first blood... if he wanted he probably coulda made Owain bleed without gettin close to him, hell that armor o' his would have probably done somethin. That Hiro, he's got honor, he knows without that a mans nothin. You gotta respect that. A man who fights on his own strength but aint o'fraid of gettin a little help. Yea he's got that man's pride alright, but he knows when to be humble," said Arrow Tooth, "I'm thinkin if anyone can get Ira back on track, its him."
"Never knew you were so thoughtful," said his second.
The man laughed, "Well that... and the lad promised us a bloody good fight!"
The men who had been listening to the conversation all roared with joy.
This was Arrow Tooth, a man of honor, of power and of the wild ways of the Berserkers known as the Fir Bhlg. The leader of the might reds.

In the very center of the central continent a massive blood red portal ripped open, magic sizzling around it, stripping the immediate area of life, leaving nothing more than a black dead surrounding, a blight upon the land. Eventually this new portal settled and from within it’s depths emerged thousands upon thousands of vile twisted demons. Some that flew, hopped, slithered and walked emerged from this portal to hell. For almost an hour dark abominations poured forth onto the land like a black wave of death. Hundreds of thousands of vile creatures set out in every direction, descending upon the land, burning, pillaging and killing without pause. The sky above this dreadful place began to swirl in a sickening black and red color. Not only was the sky above the massive portal poisoned but the taint spread, seeping into the clear blue sky, polluting it. All around the world similar portals such as these were opening, sending forth the Lord of the Voids minions to destroy the land, and bend it to his dark will. This was no organized army, there would be no polite warfare. This was a massive mob, hell bent on the worlds destruction. These monsters felt no fear, they knew nothing more than to kill everything that got in their path. They would be unrelenting, undeterred no matter the cost. The world of Ira, would fall.

Arrow Tooth and his men all got excited as they saw the demons.
The first too approach was a large frog.
"Oi lads! Let's give that nancy a frickin good whippin!" yelled Arrow Tooth as him and his mob chased down the frog demon and slaughtered it, the stench of body odor filling the air as a man with an iron fist punched through its skin and ripped out its spine.
The Mighty Reds had their first taste of blood, and they were hungry for much more as they continued to slaughter any demons that got too close. But the numbers were large, and soon the horn blew, calling the back up and cavalry in to hammer the forces.
A few foot soldiers were taken out, but that was to be expected.
Hiro watched from afar as the battle began, and even near him the demons began too swarm.
"Ready Arion? Let's not let that mighty red juggernaut Arrow Tooth get all the fighting!" yelled the emerald eyed young man as he drew his sword and lead his forces to battle.

Arion nodded, but did not move with Hiro. Instead, he moved through the treeline at the edge of forests surrounding the area. He moved quickly, quietly. As soon as he spotted an opening, he rushed through it with his greatest speed and sliced away with his halberd at the surrounding forces.
This was a normal hit-and-run tactic he'd learned. He got out before being noticed. The only thing that his enemies would see was the spray of blood and body parts as his halberd spun ferociously. In the ensuing chaos, Arion would slip out unnoticed, and continue his tactics.
"Re--" he started to whisper to his side, but remembered that he kept Remi up North, hidden in a safe place for now.
He watched Arrowtooth's group move steadily forward, as Hiro's group aided in taking out some forces. But all the while, he continued his quick assassinations and retreats.
He sighed while watching for another opening.
"This way I can put a little fear into those of lower rank and not have to even bother using real battle strength..."
As another break in the line was spotted, he rushed in, spun his halberd, and exited as the wave of blood showered down on those whom had started running from his whirlwind of runic steel.
"Oh well, I'll get a nice fight soon, I'm sure."

The Demon's had taken heavy casualties in their initial assault from the combined efforts of a group of irritatingly effective warriors and a wraith like swordsman that cut in and out of their forces. However the demons pushed on undisturbed by their massive losses as thousands upon thousands of new demonic forces pushed their way into the realm, expanding in every direction. The Demons, for the most part, had met little resistance and now the demonic forces had spread throughout the country side like a black swarm of death, the Demon Lord himself emerged from the portal. Standing with his hand lazily placed on the hilt of his blade he stood dressed in full war armor surveying the land. It had been many thousands of years since he himself had stood here. It was on this very continent that the war had been decided and he and his ilk had been thrown into the void. But now he was back, it was fitting that he would start at the very place it had ended last time. "This time, things would be different," he thought to himself, looking down as his massive dark tome that he held easily tucked under one arm. The Demon Lord searched around for the strong magic that had once graced this land. It was all but used up. Very few places in the world retained it's natural magic. "The Humans are a very destructive breed," he thought to himself as he stepped from the front of his portal and into the writhing masses that parted before him. As always a step behind him traveled his dark Warlock, ever watchful, ever waiting.

Hiro' blade glinted as he approached his men in the thick of the battle. It had seemed many of the demon had converged at this point in order to prevent his men from moving forward. With a swing of his sword a raging wind cut through the ranks and with a swing from his claw a flaming wolf burned the corpses. The attack had given his men enough of a push to move forward a bit more, but the demon swarm continued, still separating him from Arrow Tooth and his Mighty Reds who seemed to also be losing momentum. To counteract this problem Hiro flung a handful of divine knives into the ground. The demon reinforcements were surprised as his knives ripped up through the earth and shredded them before exploding.
Tempest was near by waiting for him and Hiro to dance when he felt the disturbance.
"Hiro... the demon lord...he is here!"
The youth cursed. He needed to join with Arrow Tooth as soon as possible and engage the demon lord.
If they could push him and his guard back through the gate, perhaps they would be able to find a way to seal it.
Hiro vowed to attempt this, even if it meant him crossing the threshold and fighting the demon lord on his on soil. A task that would mean certain death.
"Come on men!" yelled the youth, his emerald eyes blazing, "For Ira! For Honor!"

"My lord, my lord!" screeched one of his lesser Demons as it made it's way through the thick of the demonic ranks. He detested dealing with these disgusting creatures. "What?" he asked uninterested. So far the demons had met little resistance and while this was good for him it was also boring.
"There is a group, led by a boy, who is shredding our ranks to the North," it said, breathing in huge gulps of air.
The Demon Lord shrugged, he had bigger fish to fry. The Angels would come soon. They would be mustering a force soon enough and he had to wedge that portal. They would be the main opposition to him. Anything else was pointless and would fall through sheer numbers.
"Come my minions, we have some Angel Blood to Shed!" he yelled at the top of his voice. With a might cheer his forces roared in pleasure and set out for the Angel's stronger hold in this realm. They would fall first, then all of Ira would be his. Maybe he would change his name to Supreme one, or Emperor. These were the thoughts that filled his mind as he headed off at the front of his forces.

Angels from all around Ira had seen the demons flooding around. What they couldn't make out was how.
Their Lord Zephius had been alerted, who in all his wisdom told his angels quite gently, "Either die by demon hands, or purge their poison from my lands. Those who fail will hurt me too much too love any longer."
So it was that angels began to come through their gate, in much smaller ranks that those of the demons. Trying to cut the cancer from their child.
Soon it was that they saw a group in a skirmish, the angels were pleased to see that perhaps Ira was beginning to love them after all. Then they saw it. Saw him. That wretched youth who had twice offended their Master.
"Milord.... Hiro is here... fighting the demons it seems."
"Hiro? Who is that? Oh yes that flea who never seems to stop jumping. We've got more important concerns, let the demons kill him," said the Lord speaking from his radiant insight.

-continued from Saving Graces-
Demons poured in every direction Alexandra could see. She kept up high, hoping to avoid detection from the flying demons. High aerial combat was not her forte. From this height it also made it difficult to see what they did on the ground, so it spared her to see the destruction of what looked very much like her home world.
She finally spotted the portal and the marginal indent in the flow caused by Hiro, Arrow Tooth, and their compatriots. She dropped from the sky, enjoying the feeling of free fall.
A few of the outpouring flying demons spotted the pale girl, mistaking her for an angel with the sword at her side, white garb and comfortableness with the sky. Her long silver hair even looked like wings from a distance. A flock of them came after her. Even after realizing their mistake, the idea of fresh blood was attractive. Alexandra, oblivious for focusing too much on her intended target, slowed her descent and righted herself, nearing the front line.
A shrill battle cry above her stole her attention from the chieftain son. She spun in the air, barely getting her barrier up fast enough to mitigate the impact of the 12 or so bird and bat demons. She drew her fans when they broke away and came after her. She stopped resisting her fall and plummeted to the ground, followed closely by her assailants.

Hiro looked around the fray. Everywhere he went demons swarmed, but he needed to make his way to Sirigoth. Winning alone was not an option, he would need the help of Arion and hopefully Aylin and Alex, and even then all they could hope for was to destroy the book.
Hiro had managed to take the lead with his fast troops and push forward a bit, but soon his troops began to tire.
"Arrow Tooth!" the youth yelled to his flank. The veteran warrior grinned, knowing what his new friend had in mind. "Awright you lot push!" yelled the man as his berserkers surged forward allowing Hiro to fall back.
In the distance, Hiro saw more demons falling, but not by his warriors hands or of Arion's it seemed.
"Whats your name?" said Hiro to the man who had covered his flank in the charge.
"Bartul," replied the man.
"Right well Bartul, thank you for watching my flank. I assume you understand the initial plan?"
Bartul nodded.
"Good, I'll cover you from afar, but a friend seems to be near by. If I'm not back in time for the switch, lead the charge."
The man grinned, pleased to be trusted, "You got it boss!"
Hiro jumped high into the hair, and gathered wind with him, throwing it to the back of the demonic horde to give Arrow Tooth more leadway.
He lands a few yards away and breaks into a run, his blades flying towards a flock of demon birds.
"Alex!" yells the emerald eyed youth to his friend as his curly hair blows in the chaotic wind.
(OOC: sorry for the delay, busy week. I'd like to also take the moment to warn anyone who buys health or mana potions from target not to drink them. They are disgusting. Health is lock rotten apple and mana is like burnt waffles with spoiled blue berry)

(OOC: No problem, glad you're back. Also, I have a Health and Mana pot but I didn't buy them to drink. I bought them cause they're neat display trinkets)
Arion stood in a thick of trees, well hidden in the darkness with only his eyes gleaming through it. Another opening - a flash of steel, screams of surprise and terror, and a wave of blood, and he was on the other side of the valley he fought in once again.
Simple... he thought to himself. His body was relaxed and cold, even though the temperature on this day was rather warm. A ray of sunlight reflected off of his silver eyes for a moment before being unobstructed by his figure and falling to the ground where he stood moments ago... he began to move again, now towards Hiro.
A few steps later and he made it to the edge again, this time looking for Hiro. Didn't take long for him to spot the young man - what with his whirlwinds and fire being so prominent on the battlefield. He pulled the hood of his cloak up and covered his face, then stanced to hold his Halberd down close to the ground - like an old farmers hoe. He sprinted and kept his eyes just level enough to watch Hiro. Anything that got in his way was quickly upwards slashed with the halberd, and disposed of. Arion finally caught up with Hiro but made no sound nor indication of his closeness, only followed right behind him as they moved towards Hiro's apparently intended target - the elvish girl.
He continued forward, slashing anything that got past Hiro and staying quiet.
On the outer edges of his eyes, a black color was beginning to show, and the crystal on his forehead swirled with a faint - but apparent - crimson.

((They're so cuteeee. And on another note. Hai guyz. I'm in your forum, postin in your topicz.))
Alexandra tipped her head up, looking mournful that the ground was coming up so close. She closed her green eyes, as if to accept that she was going to hit the ground with a speed that would kill most anything.
"Alex!"
Hiro's call called her back to attention. She looked at him, wordless, with a weak smirk that didn't meet her eyes. Even Arion, who stood beyond the boy, could have noticed the coldness that permeated her. Hiro's swords struck their intended targets, and Alexandra curled out from under them like a falling leaf in the wind. They hit the ground, hitting a demon or two who hadn't noticed the incoming attackers-turned-corpses. A pair of the demons had survived, and continued after her, pulling out of the steep dive. Alexandra dispatched them with a quick slash of her dragon's blade.
Alexandra alighted on the ground not even ten feet from the curly haired youth and sheathed her weapons. She bowed to him in a smooth and quick dancer's fashion. "Hiro." The elven girl straightened. "I've come to assist... Aylin will not be joining us."
((Sorry for bugging you to death, Adam...
Anyone seen Aylin? I haven't heard from her in foreverrrrr))

(OOC: I hung out with her yesterday. I'll pester her about posting next time I see her.) Hiro's face shifted from the relief of seeing Alexandra to concern for Aylin, "As long as she's safe... For now we've got an endless horde of demons to make our way through and a demon lord who needs to be stopped... Luvaran and I fought him and one of his cohorts before. Even alone the demon lord could have taken us both. Unless there are any self-destructing dimensional gates for me to throw myself through like with Zephius, we're gonna need to work together to take him and hope that his Honor guard isn't too strong..."
Hiro stopped talking, realizing he might be more discouraging than inspiring, then Tempest, seeing this added in, "But at least we've got each other right?"

Alexandra nodded. This would be her chance to help make up for their failure in the forest. "You, me, the dragon son and his companion will have to be enough..." The gem in her circlet flickered with light and she closed her eyes, as if the sun were hurting her. Calling Van so far from home, so far from the shrine was going to be difficult, but his wife and lover was alive in this realm, so he would not be far. "Van..." She whispered, readying her own invocations for when they engaged.
Just because these players were reunited and talking didn't mean the demons had stopped to let them take their time. Another pair up behind the dancer, this time an extremely large wolf and what was reminiscent of a hawk, though it looked dead and tattered. The hawk demon came straight down for her as his companion barreled towards the same target. A yell tore from her lips as she brought her shield up and dropped it as soon as the hawk hit, crumpling It fell to the ground beside her. She lit the thing with white fire and kicked it into the face of the running wolf, catching the demon on fire as well. It cried out, howling its banshee scream, and tripped, crumpling, and skidded to a halt before the indifferent elven woman. She ran her fingers through the crackling flame. Her magic based flame hurt her none, and the light fed the flames until the demon was reduced to ash. By that time it had already spread to other corpses and even ignorant living. They felled the caught quickly, this type of fire consuming greedily those who did nothing.
"I should have used this sooner..." She muttered, watching the light fire eat up the demonic forces.
"Hiro, come on. Lets go..." She took up the air again, walking the wind currents.

Hiro leaped into the air, only to have a flying wraith of a demon charge straight in to him and beg in to plow him in to the ground. Hiro dug his claw into the wraiths neck ripped a chunk out, sending a flaming knife in to replace it. The demon let go as it burned to ash, but Hiro still landed with a sharp thud on the ground.
He lay still and let his armor and healing magic do its work, then pushed himself back in to the air, annoyed.
"Can't even take to the air without this bloody horde getting in my way.... Tempest!" yelled the emerald eyed youth.
"Let's dance!" howled his glowing companion from afar.
With a surge of light and a vortex the young man and the wolf joined together, Their brown curls glowing faintly, a wind swirling about them, pointed ears twitching eagerly in the wind.
They drew their sword and charged to the front lines of his men, just in time to catch the switch of forces.
With a vicious howl their blade rang through the air, and a raging wind tore through the masses of demons. With a growl, their claw unleashed a wolf of fire, exploding in the oxygen heavy air, and crashing through the horde further. And with an insane laugh, knives hurled glowing with lightning, screaming with ice, raging with fire and glinting with pure sharp insanity.
Arrow Tooth and his men saw their opening and ran through, slamming the masses of demonic troops.
They were sustaining few troop losses, most of them occuring during the switches, but they were finally starting to gain ground as Bartel lead a charge roaring angrily, his weapons cutting down demonic resistance.
Hiro at last showed a faint hint of a smile as he noticed the horde finally moving back.
Then his smile faded as a familiary scent and familiar energy barely reached him.
"Zephius..."
Hiro could only take solace in the fact that the angel lord would probably be here to fight the demons... but he knew that if he came too close to the angel, another fight would ensue. Even if his friends and him could prove victorious against one of the other worldly lords, there was no way they would have the power to fight both in one day.
