As Admins it is our job to ensure that all the rules are followed, and the board is kept in balance.
This includes all posts as well as all domains of the rules.
However, we do not want to be the all powerful god mod-ing jerks whom we have rules to prevent.
We will not step in with a hand of god sweeping away your posts unless absolutely neccessary. Whether it be that you are not in that portion of the board and should not be, are being far too offensive in your post, or some other reason which we have the elastic clause to cover our asses with.
Now then here is typical protocol:
If you make a post that does not fit, assuming it is not utterly offensive, pointless or out of place, we will PM you and add an OOC comment to the bottom of the post telling you what you need to change and most importantly WHY.
We will not change your post or delete it unless we must.
Keep in mind different admins do have different ways of editing. The cross out does not always mean you have to delete it or it did not happen, it could just be to highlight what we need changed for your benefit.
If you disagree with us you may PM us to let us know why you disagree and on what grounds we are wrong.
If one of the admins seems particularly set on something but you feel that strongly over it, PM one other admin. Remember, there is an odd number in order to ensure we have a deciding factor instead of a deadlock or a god admin.
All we ask is that you comply once we have made our decision and hold no grudges. Should we be in the wrong we will do the same or else face the judgment of the other admins. (That said if you seriously piss off more than one admin... chances are you'll be losing anyways).
Should you continue to cause problems we will penalize you whether it be docking points or a temporary ban but we will warn you before hand.
Remember: If one says you can't do something, and you really have no clue about it, you can always ask for clarification or ask another Administrator's opinion. However, if two or all say you can't leave it be. Lenient or not we ARE the deciding force.
Our minds are opened and we want EG to be the best it can be with everyone's input.
Elastic Clause: This is subject to change, but we will notify when it has.
