As you rummage through the corpses you find next to nothing. This must have been their first raid of the day. However, after sifting through the ash of Trevor's wagon and picking past the bones you find a beat up, slightly charred compass. This together with your map should be able to help you out of the desert. You also find a couple of gold coins as well as some salvageable bandages and disinfectant.

Umarn is a little confused by the elf's sudden act of friendship, but decides it's not important. He then realizes despite their victory in battle, he was still lost.
"You wouldn't happen to know where the nearest city is would you? I doubt waiting beside a charred trade wagon is the best idea" He says to the elf as he looks around for any landmarks.

Landmarks: You notice what is mostly a vast desert but you see a large spikey looking rock formation. Should Brenden choose to use his map he would find it clearly marked and in combination with the compass he could find a way out.

Unsure of how to work compasses Brenden takes a guess and throws it at a rock as hard as he can and then examines the shards of glass. He looks at the perpetually perplexed ugly looking satyr and points in a random direction and says this way to escape the desert. He then sets of in that direction.

Umarn looks on with dismay as the elf shatters their only hope of finding their way out of the desert. Before he can ask why the elf is clearly retarded, the elf has already set off.
Umarn contemplates going off his own way and avoiding this elf, but eventually decides that strength in numbers is the best option and hurries along with the elf to where ever he may be heading.

As you turn to leave the glass from the broken compass begins to hiss and steam appears to rise from it.
The steam swirls and converges in front of you.
You see and artic moose, it leaps through the air gracefully with a loud MRAAAAAAA sound and explodes.
It's bloody remains form a pattern on the ground, in the direction you are going is the symbol of a skull and cross bones, in the opposite direction is a house. One of the other directions looks like a moose and the other appears to be a turtle.

Maybe the skull is a bad choice. Brenden heads to the house.

After a few days of walking, you are hungry, tired and and dehydrated, thankfully you've found your way out of the desert.

Actually Brenden is trained in survival so only the satyr is hungry, tired, and dehydrated. Still Brenden looked upon where he had wandered to. Looked like some sort of city.
(OOC: I'm starting a new thread elsewhere)
